Giving Tuesday 2020 - Tuesday, December 1st

GivingTuesday refers to the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States. It is touted as a "global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

Hi, I'm Moe - the mobile hotspot.

By supporting the Billings Public Library Foundation on Giving Tuesday, you helped us

raise money for the purchase of 20 new mobile hotspot devices PLUS service for a year.

These devices will allow Library patrons to connect to the internet - for FREE!

By using their Library card, they can simply check out the hotspots for two weeks.

Our goal was to raise funds for at least 20 new mobile hotspot devices plus a year of service.

We reached and exceeded our goal! Thank You!

Thanks to the kind generosity and continued support of Bernie Rose, First Interstate Bank and an Anonymous donor, donations were matched dollar for dollar! And after hearing our story, we had an anonymous donor come forward and offer to help raise funds for the purchase of Chromebooks for those who not only don't have access to the Internet but have no phone or laptop to use. Thanks to that generous person and his friends, we have ALSO purchased 10 Chromebooks to be placed in various locations around town!

Thanks for helping us make the connection and

Thanks for your support of the Library Foundation and the

Billings Public Library - a cornerstone of our community!
